A third person seriously injured in a Cole County crash has died from his injuries.

Anthony Bertucci, 20, of Russellville, was pronounced dead last night at a Columbia hospital.

It was Tuesday night, just before 9pm, when a car driven by Sydney Schrag, 19, of Jefferson City, crossed the center line of Route B near Wardsville and hit an oncoming truck head on.

Both Schrag and a second passenger, Damani Winters, 21, also of Jefferson City, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The trio in the truck suffered serious injuries.  However, as of this morning, the driver, Aaron Hauzer, 51, of Jefferson City, and one passenger, Bobbie Wilfawn, 67, of Branson, had been upgraded to fair condition; while Hauzer's wife, Twila, is now listed in good condition.

Meanwhile, a friend of the Winters' family has started a GoFund Me account to help his family with funeral expenses.  The link can be found here:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/paying-tribute-to-damani-winter039s?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&fbclid=IwAR1Nw2ImTI2wTvYrVcyA9qPucrcFGQH1cOTHE8MuTdJSI01l0YqHCRtuU9k
