Three arrested following high-speed chase through three central Missouri counties

Three people are arrested following a multi-county police chase that ended in Cole County.

The Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office reports it was early Wednesday morning when they received a call from Pettis County that one of their deputies was involved in a police pursuit that was headed their way.

The suspect entered Moniteau County, driving through both Tipton and California, where officers there placed spike strips on the road to end the chase.  The driver was able to avoid the device and continued driving at a high rate of speed on Highway 50, headed toward Cole County.

The driver eventually stopped his car in the median near Centertown and took off on foot.  His two passengers were immediately taken into custody and the driver was captured after a short foot chase.

Officials haven’t released the driver’s name but say he’s facing three felony no bond warrants out of Cole County.
