Tractor Supply buys out Orscheln

Orscheln Farm & Home opened its new 54,000 square-foot location on Missouri Boulevard on August 24, 2018.

Tractor Supply announces it’s purchasing the network of Orscheln Farm and Home stores for almost $300 million. 

Orscheln, which started in 1960 in Sedalia, is selling all of its 167 stores.  The sale is final, pending regulatory approval.

It’s unclear how this will affect local Orscheln stores.  There’s currently both an Orscheln and Tractor Supply in Jefferson City.  It was just two years ago when Orscheln opened in a new, larger location on Missouri Boulevard.
