A trial date is set for one of two Jefferson City men, charged with murder in the death of a Lincoln University student.

A Cole County judge set a July trial date for DeAngelo Frazier, 30, last week.  Frazier is charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action in the death of D’Angelo Bratton-Bland.

It was in December of 2018 when Frazier and his friend, Michael Bouchee, allegedly fired shots from in front of a house on Dawson Street.  Bratton-Bland was standing nearby with a group of friends when he was hit.  Police say Bratton-Bland, a Senior at LU, was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and had no connection to his shooters.

Frazier is scheduled for a 5-day trial, starting July 13th

Bouchee, the one who allegedly fired the shot that killed Bratton-Bland, is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
