Two from Hartsburg suffer serious injuries in Saturday evening crash

Two Boone County residents suffer serious injuries when their SUV collides with a car about ten miles south of Ashland.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Laura Harper, 63, of Hartsburg, was driving on Highway 63 Saturday evening when she traveled into the path of another driver.  The two collided, sending Harper’s SUV off the road, into a guardrail.

Harper was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.  Her passengers, Dylan Cheatham, 27, of Hartsburg, and Harper’s 72-year-old sister Kay Jordan, also of Hartsburg, suffered serious injuries in the crash.  There’s no word on their current condition.

The other driver, a teenager from Laddonia, was not injured.
