Two gun rights bills advance to full Senate

A Senate committee advances two bills that would expand gun rights in the state.

The so-called Second Amendment Preservation Act now moves to the full Senate.  The bill has previously won approval in the House.

One bill would allow concealed-carry permit holders to bring guns onto public transit.  The other would nullify federal gun laws and regulations.  The law would also allow those who believe their Second Amendment rights have been violated to sue law enforcement for $50,000.
