Columbia Police arrest two people after they crash their car during a police chase.

The suspects were fleeing police on Tuesday afternoon when they crashed under the Hinkson Creek bridge on Forum Boulevard and landed in the creek.  The pair was taken to a local hospital for observation.

Police report the occupants had been involved in two incidents Tuesday before the crash.  One was a domestic assault in the Columbia Mall parking lot, the other involved trespassing at a convenience store on West Vawter School Road.  Witnesses were able to provide a description of the suspect’s car.  When police spotted it later in the day, that’s when the police chase began.
