U-Way offers extended funding to agencies struggling while helping out storm victims

The United Way of Central Missouri wants to help out agencies stretched thin due to the spring’s tornado and flooding. Theresa Verslues (ver-SLOYSS) of the United Way says her agency is making 70-thousand dollars available to any agency that has been helping storms victims.

Verslues says the agency doesn’t have to be part of the United Way umbrella. The money comes from the United Way Foundation which stepped in with 200-thousand dollars in the wake of the spring disasters.
