UPDATE: Bullock is being held on a $150,000 cash-only bond. He's scheduled for his first court appearance this afternoon.
Charges are filed against a Columbia man who fired shots at a 16-year-old boy over the weekend.
Deraze Bullock, 22, is being held in the Boone County jail on charges of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon from a moving vehicle. Police report Bullock was on a hoverboard when he fired the shots.
The shooting happened Thursday night near McKee Park. A father flagged down police to report shots had just been fired at his son as he rode his bike home. Police report that when the boy spotted the gun in Bullock’s pocket, he hid behind a tree in front of his father’s house. The boy was not injured.
Meanwhile, Columbia Police continue to investigate a shooting Friday morning on Bodie Drive. A 19-year-old female suffered non-life threatening injuries during that shooting.
