Camden County deputies find stolen items during drug bust

UPDATE:  Investigators have determined the stolen items were taken from Osage Beach.  All items have been returned to the rightful owner.  Two people are now in custody

One person is in custody following an arrest involving drugs and stolen items in Camden County.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office reports a deputy conducted a traffic stop around 2 a.m. this morning on Osage Beach Parkway.  The deputy suspected narcotics and a K9 confirmed their presence. 

The drug investigation lead deputies to Hawk’s Nest Lodge where the driver was staying.  While searching his room, deputies located additional controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and what appeared to be a large amount of stolen goods.

The county reports deputies are currently reaching out to surrounding agencies to determine what jurisdictions the items were stolen from.
