Missouri food stamp recipients will continue to receive extra assistance through at least next month.
KMOV reports the United States Department of Agriculture has approved the state’s request to extend the Pandemic Food Stamp Program through June. The program allows Missourians to receive the maximum benefit amount for their household size during a state of emergency.
The USDA also approved Missouri’s waiver request to extend the suspension of Food Stamp interviews through the month of June.
As of April 30, more than 360,000 households were receiving SNAP benefits.
