Another winter storm is tracking across the Midwest, bringing a wintry mix of precipitation.
The areas of the state under a Winter Storm Watch include portions of Central Missouri and the Northwest portion of the state.
The Mid-Missouri counties included in the watch include: Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Moniteau, Montgomery, and Osage Counties.
Those areas can expect a wintry mix of snow and ice starting late tonight, lasting through Friday evening, with up to 3-inches of snow and up to 2/10s of an inch of ice. The storm is expected to start with snow, changing over to sleep and freezing rain.
Meanwhile, the remainder of Mid-Missouri remains under a Winter Weather Advisory.
Portions of North Central Missouri, including Pettis, Randolph, Saline, Howard, and Cooper Counties, can expect up to 2-inches of snow and some ice accumulation, starting early tomorrow through Friday night.
And South Central and West Central Missouri, including the Lake area, Fort Leonard Wood, Rolla, Lebanon, Buffalo, and Salem, can expect minor amounts of a wintry precipitation, starting tonight through noon tomorrow.
