Woman arrested at Eldon hotel for drugs after her child is found roaming the halls

A Morgan County woman is arrested at a Miller County hotel after officers find more than four pounds of meth in her room and her child wandering the halls.

Deputies were called to the Super 8 Hotel just outside of Eldon on Tuesday to check on an unclothed child roaming the halls.  After making contact with the mother, 43-year-old Brandy Batchelder of Barnett, deputies developed cause to search her room.  That’s when they found drug paraphernalia and the suspected meth, worth more than $100,000.

Batchelder was arrested on charges of drug trafficking and endangering the welfare of a child.
