KJLU OUTREACH NARRATIVE STATEMENT 2017-2019 

 

KJLU achieved broad and inclusive outreach during the period of October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2019 by providing training opportunities to students from Lincoln University, an historically black university.  The station also provided training opportunities to community volunteers.  In addition, KJLU offered internship opportunities to Lincoln University students.  More than a dozen students and more than a dozen community volunteers took advantage of these opportunities.  KJLU also has an endowed scholarship with the Lincoln University Foundation for students interested in broadcasting.

The purpose of this EEO Public File Report is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC's 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of KJLU-FM,

licensed in Jefferson City, Missouri, and the Board of Curators of Lincoln University of

Missouri, an Historically Black University located in Jefferson City, Missouri.  The EEO responsibilities for KJLU-FM are shared between the station’s General Manager, the

University’s EEO officer, and the University’s Director of Human Resources.  All information about job openings at KJLU-FM are posted on the University’s website

and shared with Lincoln University faculty, staff, students and alumni.  This report is required to be placed in the public inspection file of this station and posted on its website.
