ANNUAL EEO PUBLIC FILE REPORT

The purpose of this EEO Public File Report is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC's 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of KJLU-FM, licensed in Jefferson City, Missouri, and the Board of Curators of Lincoln University of Missouri, an Historically Black University located in Jefferson City, Missouri.  The EEO responsibilities for KJLU-FM are shared between the station’s General Manager, the University’s EEO officer, and the University’s Director of Human Resources.  All information about job openings at KJLU-FM are posted on the University’s website and shared with Lincoln University faculty, staff, students and alumni.  This report is required to be placed in the public inspection file of this station and posted on its website.

This information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning October 1, 2018 to and including September 30, 2019 (the "Applicable Period").

3: Supplemental (Non Vacancy Specific) Recruitment Activities Undertaken by    KJLU-FM

1. The station provided broadcast training and experience to Lincoln University students majoring in Journalism as well as other majors.  The station also provided broadcast training and experience to community members.  The station has also set up an endowed scholarship with the Lincoln University Foundation for students studying broadcasting.     

 

2019-20 396 EEO Report Amendment

KJLU had one full-time opening during this period—Communications Coordinator— an air position that also functioned as an assistant program director. The radio station utilized three sources to publicize the open position— the Lincoln University Human Resources website which is the website of the licensee, the KJLU Facebook Page, and the Jefferson City News Tribune newspaper. Three applicants applied and were interviewed. The Lincoln University Human Resources website was the source for two of the applicants. The KJLU Facebook page was the source for one of the applicants. KJLU Outreach Narrative Statement—2018-2020

KJLU provided broadcast training and experience to Lincoln University students majoring in Journalism as well as other majors.  The station also provided broadcast training and experience to community members.  The station has also set up an endowment fund with the Lincoln University Foundation for scholarships for Journalism students.
